Six percent of housing planned to be constructed this year put into operation 27 January 2012,14:07

The constructed housing space has been 137.3 thousand square metres.

(Kazan, January 27, Tatar-inform, Svetlana Yemelianova). A total of 137.3 thousand square metres of housing, including 96.7 thousand built in the past two weeks, or 6 percent of the year’s target, has been constructed in Tatarstan, totalling 166 percent to that last year. The figures were today presented by Tatarstan construction, architecture and housing minister Irek Faizullin at a republic-wide videoconference chaired by Prime Minister of Tatarstan.

The ministry continues to analyse the provision of the sites handed over in 2012 with land plots, design specifications and utilities infrastructure.

“Of the 282 blocks of flats planned to be delivered this year, land plots for 17 sites have not been duly registered, two sites lack a land plot city development plan, two sites have no water supply network. Fourteen sites have no construction permits, another 14 have an incomplete set of documents,” the minister said.

Tatarstan in 2011 ranked fourth in Russia in housing delivery, following the Moscow region, Krasnodar region and Saint-Petersburg. It ranks first in the Volga Federal District.
