Tatarstan President meets with Russia internal affairs deputy minister
The parties discussed the course of reforming the Interior Ministry system, issues related to crime prevention and countering extremism and terrorism.
(Kazan, January 25, Tatar-inform). President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has today met with Russia deputy minister of internal affairs Sergey Bulavin, the President of Tatarstan’s press service reports.
The meeting took place at the House of Government. Tatarstan was represented by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Interior Ministry’s Tatarstan branch Asgat Safarov, Tatarstan Security Council secretary Valery Vlasov and others.
The parties discussed the course of implementing the Interior Ministry system reform, issues related to crime prevention, as well as countering extremism and terrorism in Tatarstan and the rest of the country.
Sergey Bulavin is on 24-25 January on a two-day visit to Kazan. His agenda includes visiting the Interior Ministry Tatarstan branch’s main building and learning the branch’s operation in Kazan.
The Russian deputy interior minister attended an extended staff meeting of the Interior Ministry Tatarstan branch and answered questions from the local media.
