There will be a section with such a title at the festival in Kazan, which will take place on September 15-19.

(Kazan, September 2, Tatar-Inform). The section “World Cinema” will be included in the program of Kazan International Film Festival. It will present best films from the world’s recent festivals, the cinema forum press-center informed.

The “World Cinema” program has been complied in accordance with the conception of Kazan Muslim Film Festival.

The following films will be shown: “Lourdes” Jessica Housner (Austria, Germany, France), “White Material” Claire Denis (France), “Women without Men” Shirin Neshat (Germany, France, Austria, Ukraine), “Poetry” Chan-dong Lee (Korea), “Mother” Joon-ho Bong (South Korea).

In opinion of the 6th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival program director Lyudmila Semyonova, international festival cannot exist disconnectedly. “A festival is the reflection of what’s going on at a particular moment in the world cinematography. A film festival must outline this process, specify artistic trends and styles,” Lyudmila Semyonova said.
