Tatarstan's plenipotentiary in Russia meets with Jordan holding Al Munjed' vice-president
The Al Munjed holding is the largest investment group in the Middle East, located in Jordan, UAE and Oman.
(Kazan, August 31, Tatar-inform). The Tatarstan’s plenipotentiary in Russia Ravil Akhmetshin on August 30 met with Al Munjed holding vice-president Jamil Alhavamdeh.
The Al Munjed holding is the largest investment group in the Middle East, located in Jordan, UAE and Oman. The scope of interests of the holding set up over 100 years ago includes investment in major construction, agriculture, information technologies, pharmaceutics and other economy branches. The company owns some advanced technologies and holds certificates for exporting pharmaceutical products to Europe and the US. It operates in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Far East.
Ravil Akhmetshin thanked Jamil Alhavamdeh for the attention to Tatarstan. He said Tatarstan closely cooperated with the Muslim world and the relations had huge potential for development.
Ravil Akhmetshin and Jamil Alhavamdekh focused on economic cooperation during the negotiations, which means Al Munjed holding’s cooperation with Tatarstan plants and companies in the field of investment and innovation. Bilateral contacts with the purpose of implementing concrete innovative and science-technical projects, cooperation in the field of petrochemistry, pharmaceutics and medical equipment, machine building and food industry, information and nanotechnologies, including in energy and high-technology branches, as well as promoting tourism, is planned.
Jamil Alhavamdeh said Al Munjed could invest finances and new technologies in Tatarstan, while the company’s excellent reputation and connections in the Arabic East’s establishment were conducive to expanding cooperation.
The parties agreed that the Al Munjed top management would visit Tatarstan and continue the negotiations with the participation of concerned companies and plants.
