The meeting was held as part of Tatarstan president’s reception in honor of Day of Republic.

(Kazan, August 28, Tatar-Inform). The Republic of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia Khamid Avaludin.

The meeting took place at the culture and entertainment center “Pyramid” as part of the reception Tatarstan President’s behalf in honor of Day of Republic.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mr. Khamid Avaludin for the attention Indonesia gives to the Republic of Tatarstan. According to his words, it is a particular pleasure that the ambassador’s visit coincided with the celebrations in honor of the Day of the Republic.


As Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out, Tatarstan and Indonesia relations are being developed in helicopter industry, ship-building, and petro-chemistry. He proposed determining projects for further joint realization. For instance, Tatarstan President reminded that Indonesia had shown interest in the ship-building products (Gorki Zelenodolsk Ship-Building Plant, which belongs to “Ak Bars” holding company).

Tatarstan and Kazan are popular in Indonesia at present, information about Tatarstan appeared in Indonesian mass media, Khamid Avaludin said.

Mr Avaludin informed that a business mission from Indonesia would arrive in Tatarstan in October 2010 with the purpose to get acquainted with the republican economy, developing prospects of joint projects.
