Five people have become laureates of the award.

(Kazan, August 31, Tatar-Inform, Lutsia Kamalova). On August 30 – Day of Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan’s 1005th anniversary, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov bestowed Gabdullah Tukai State Awards of Tatarstan of 2010.

A solemn ceremony took place on the square near Kamal Tatar State Academy Theater. Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, RT Vice-Premier – Minister of Culture Zilya Valeyeva, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the ceremony.

The honorable awards were handed over to the following figures: poet Rkail Zaidullin, writer Foat Sadriyev, accordionist Vladimir Fedotov, sculptor Asia Minulina, sculptor-monumentalist Ildar Khanov.

Tukai State Award is given for the most outstanding works of literature and art which have been publicly recognized and made considerable contribution to development of the Russian and national cultures.
