Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev met with the delegation of our compatriots.

(Kazan, August 27, Tatar-Inform, Lucia Kamalova). A delegation from Bashkortostan has arrived this morning in Kazan as part of the 18th inter-republican program “The Ttrip to Great Bulgar” on “Zaitsev” steam-ship. Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev met with the delegation of our compatriots.

About 150 people have joined “The Trip to Great Bulgar”, including intelligentsia representatives of Bashkortostan, Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen Provinces, and Lithuania.

Mintimer Shaimiev informed the guests about realization of the complex project “Cultural Heritage of Tatarstan: ancient city of Bulgar and town-island Sviyazhsk”. The initiative belongs to the Republican fund “Vozrozhdeniye” (“Revival”).

“Day by day, the number of tourists willing to visit these historical places is increasing. We want to create comfortable conditions for their tours,” Mintimer Shaimiev said.
