A total of 268 blood donors took part in the drive.

(Kazan, August 23, Tatar-inform, Emma Sitdikova). The Donor Saturday campaign held late last week in Tatarstan resulted in the collection of 106.8 litres of blood. A total of 268 donors took part in the drive, the Republican blood transfusion station has told Tatar-inform.

The mobile blood transfusion station and the Republican blood transfusion station branches in Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetievsk and Nizhnekamsk collected over 83 litres. A total of 231 donors were received.

A total of 112 people donated blood at the station in Naberezhnye Chelny, 35.8 litres of blood, 41 in Almetievsk (18.8 litres of blood), 37 in Nizhnekamsk (14.3 litres). Doctors at the mobile blood transfusion station operating during the Donor Saturday in Kazan, near the Tandem shopping mall, received 41 donors who donated 15 litres of blood.

Other participants of the drive were blood transfusion units from the Republican Clinical Hospital, Child Republican Clinical Hospital, Yelabuga central regional hospital and Chistopol central regional hospital. The units received 37 donors and collected 22.9 litres of blood.
