President Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the Emergency Situations Ministry to take addition precautions at strategic sites.

(Kazan, August 12, Tatar-inform). President Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the Emergency Situations Ministry to take addition precautions at strategic sites, reports Interax.

"I have ordered the Emergency Situations Ministry, other departments and regional authorities to take additional measures for the prevention and extinguishing of fires at strategic sites," he told Rostov Governor Vasily Golubev in Taganrog on Thursday.

"It is the question of additional modern systems, which will control the status of the strategic sites," he said.

Russia has plenty of strategic sites, Medvedev observed. "The government has finally issued the document. We have more than 3,000 [strategic] sites in this country."
