JSC Tatneft in 2009 saved over 353 thousand tonnes of standard fuel.
(Kazan, July 29, Tatar-inform). JSC Tatneft within a resource saving plan implements measures aimed to reduce energy consumption and to increase field development and oil recovery efficiency. One of the examples of an oil recovery energy-efficient integrated solution is the work done by the Yamashneft oil recovery division at the Arkhangelsk oilfield in the Novosheshmin region.
Yamashneft, one of Tatneft’s leading oil and gas extraction divisions, implements energy-efficient solutions in oil and associated gas extraction, collection and transportation like multiphase pumps, injecting various versions of polymers, using oil gas to produce electrical energy and oil treatment, operating wells with chain-driven pumps, and others, the company’s press service reports.
Integrated implementation of the technologies allows to reduce power consumption by up to 18 percent.
Wide application of the new unconventional solutions in developing fields with difficult geological conditions has allowed Yamashneft to substantially reduce power consumption. The bigger part is accounted for by procedures related to field development, 44 percent of the total energy saving.
Yamashneft provides 6.2 percent of Tatneft’s total oil recovery, spending 2.8 percent of the electrical energy consumed by the corporation, which was made possible through the low unit consumption rate of 50.2 kWh, half of the company’s average.
In general, Tatneft in 2009 saved over 353 standard fuel on all the energy resources types.
