Sergei Lavrov and Hillary Clinton discussed the situation around Iran, Afghanistan, Russian-U.S. cooperation and Russia’s entry bid in the WTO.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton discussed the situation around Iran, Afghanistan, Russian-U.S. cooperation and Russia’s entry bid in the World Trade Organization at the ASEAN forum, the Russian Foreign Ministry said after the 17th session of the ASEAN regional security forum in Hanoi on Friday.“The sides discussed a broad range of issues in Russian-U.S. relations in view of the practical fulfilment of the agreements, which the presidents of Russia and the United States had reached at the Washington summit on June 24. They focused attention on more intensive negotiations on Russia’s accession in the WTO and broader bilateral trade and economic cooperation, particularly thanks to promising joint projects in high technologies and innovations,” the Foreign Ministry is quoted as saying by Itar-Tass agency.
