A woman sustained a brain concussion and was hospitalised.

(Kazan, March 11, Tatar-inform, Natalya Rybakova). Three car accidents involving tens of cars this morning occurred near Kazan, within the stretch between Borovoe Matushino and the Laishev region.

The first large collision occurred under the bridge near the Borovoe crossing point. The other crashes were seen just a few hundred metres away. According to eyewitnesses, a woman who at the moment was in a VAZ 2107 car gravely suffered in one of the accidents. A lamp post fell down on her car, causing her a brain concussion and hospitalisation. No other victimes have so far been reported. The accidents, however, caused tens of auto owners material damage.

Based on preliminary reports, the cause of the accident was bad weather conditions, snow and glaze, as well as speed infringement by the drivers. This resulted in massive traffic jams. At the moment, road traffic is getting back to normal.
