Musicians from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia will gather in Tatarstan capital.

(Kazan, March 11, Tatar-inform, Kristina Ivanova). Saidashev Contest of folk instrument performers and conductors of folk instruments orchestras which has received the status of an international contest this year. It will take place in Kazan on March 16-25.

The first Saidashev International Contest is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Kazan State Conservatoire. The event is organized by Russia and Tatarstan culture ministries, Kazan city administration, Jihanov Lazan State Conservatoire, Saidashev State Grand Concert Hall, the conservatoire’s Department of Folk Instruments.

Over 300 applications from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Belarus have been submitted for the competition.
