(Kazan, March 10, Tatar-inform). The Russian Prosecutor Investigative Committee in Tatarstan has initiated a criminal investigation within part 1 of article 109 of Russia’s Penal Code, “Manslaughter”, on the death of a 54-year-old resident in Kazan, Margarita Lavrentieva.

The incident occurred on February 27, 2010. A lump of ice fell on the woman from a balcony on the 5th floor of building No 49 on Vosstania Street in Kazan.

According to the investigative department at the PIC branch in Tatarstan, investigative measures are being taken to identify all the circumstances of the offence.
