(Kazan, March 10, Tatar-inform). The Republic of Tatarstan President Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated Ak Bars-93 hockey team on winning the title of Russian champions among young men born in 1993.

“On behalf of Tatarstan people and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on the wonderful victory of Ak Bars-93 hockey team in Russian junior championship.

“Confident performance of our junior team in the country’s main ice hockey tournament is a bright sport achievement of sportsmen and talented coaches, a consistent result of the systematical work in physical culture and sports, which is carried out in Tatarstan. You two-times champions of the Russian Federation. You demonstrated real mannishness and strong team spirit in honest sport battle. Sport achievements of young Tatarstanians are a reliable ground for future victories of Tatarstan sport. We are proud of you. Carry on! Yes, we can!” is written in the President’s telegram for the name of Tatarstan Hockey Federation President, Ak Bars ice hockey club President Shafagat Takhautdinov, chief coach S.
