(Kazan, March 10, Tatar-inform, Sergei Semerkin). At the 48th session of Kazan City Duma today, deputies unanimously voted for the issue of introducing amendments to the Regulations of Kazan city municipal formation.

For instance, the following amendment to Article 33 on electing the city mayor has been passed: “The city mayor is elected by the City Duma from its members by majority vote. Candidates nominees by the City Duma can be elected.”
