A session of Tatarstan Security Council was held at Kazan Kremlin under chairmanship of Tatarstan President.

(Kazan, March 9, Tatar-inform). Session of the republican Council for Security was held under chairmanship of Mintimer Shaimiev at Kazan Kremlin on March 9. The issue “On the programme of the Republic of Tatarstan oil and gas industrial complex for 2010-2014” was discussed at the session, Tatarstan presidential press-service informs.

Head of the republic pointed out it is the third programme for petrochemistry development. Concrete work and large-scale projects were carried out; considerable experience was gained within the framework of the two previous programmes. “We found the most reliable ways of petrochemistry development based on increase of effective use of our republic’s main wealth – oil. Effective development of this branch is momentous yesterday, today and in the future, because it provides unconditional, sustainable development of our republic amid overall modernization of social-economic and political life,” Mintimer Shaimiev said.

JSC Tatneftekhiminvest-holding CEO Rafinat Yarullin made the keynote report. He summed up results of the two previous programmes and presented the project of the new programme.

Tatneft company CEO Shafagat Takhautdinov, JSC Taif CEO Albert Shigabutdinov, Taneko company CEO Khamza Bagmanov, head of CJSC Tatgazinvest Rinat Khanbikov informed the session participants on prospect projects of their companies.

As it was indicated at the session, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers must attract investors of manufacturing complexes to social infrastructure development in Nizhnekamsk and some settlements where “The programme for the Republic of Tatarstan oil and gas industrial complex development for 2010-2014” is realized.

Tatarstan Council for Security made the decision to recommend Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers to pass “The programme for the Republic of Tatarstan oil and gas industrial complex development for 2010-2014”.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Muhametshin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, members of Tatarstan Council for Security, and also heads of corresponding ministries and departments took part in the session.
