The position is established in accordance with the purpose to implement experience and knowledge of Tatarstan President, whose term expires.

(Kazan, March 4, Tatar-inform, AliaSabirova). A new position will appear in Tatarstan - the Republic of Tatarstan Counselor of State. In accordance with Article 76 of Tatarstan Constitution, the parliament Committee for state construction and local government and the Committee for legality and law enforcement jointly introduce the bill “On Counselor of State of the Republic of Tatarstan” for consideration of the State Council as a legislative initiative.

According to the bill, the position is established in accordance with Articles 73 and 76 of the Russian Federation Constitution, Article 4 of the Republic of Tatarstan Constitution with the purpose to implement experience and knowledge of Tatarstan President, whose term expires, for political, social-economic and other kind of the republic’s development.

The person who dismisses the office of the first Tatarstan President is appointed for the post of Counselor of State. He fulfills his duties on a non-repayable basis.
