The 4th international festival of guitar music “Classic Guitar of the 21st century” will be held in Kazan on March 17-22.

(Kazan, March 4, Tatar-inform). The 4th international festival of guitar music “Classic Guitar in the 21st century” will be held in Kazan on March 17-22.

French composer and guitarist, music teacher Ronald Diens will perform at the opening ceremony of the festival at Saidashev State Grand Concert Hall, the organizing committee told Tatar-inform. Ronald Diens’ teacher was Spanish master Alberto Ponse. Ronald Diens is winner of highest awards of several prestigious guitar contests.

Well-known Kazan guitarists Vitaly Kharisov, Aynur Begutiv, “New Music” ensemble will take part in the opening ceremony in the programme “Jazz. Improvisation. Classic”. Conductor is head and chief conductor of Kazan State Chamber Orchestra “La Primavera” Rustem Abyazov.

The festival’s gala-concert will take place on March 21 at Saidashev State Grand Concert Hall. The following musicians will perform: Anabel Montesinos (Spain), Marko Tamayo (Cuba), Aynur Begutov (Kazan), Jihanov Kazan State Conservatoire quartet of guitarists, “Tornado” duet (Rostov-on-Don), “Rendezvous” duet (Samara).
