(Kazan, March 3, Tatar-inform). Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich will pay an official visit to Moscow on March 5 at the invitation of the Russian head of state, Itar-Tass reports citing the Kremlin’s press-service.

As he congratulated Yanukovich upon his election as Ukraine President Dmitry Medvedev invited him to pay “an early visit to Russia for a discussion of a wide range of topical issues of multi-faceted cooperation between our countries.”

“I do hope that Russian-Ukrainian cooperation will gain constructive, fruitful and partnership-like momentum. I do believe that through joint efforts we shall be able to give a fresh impetus to the development of mutually beneficial bilateral ties,” D. Medvedev said.
