Tatarstan Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism is disappointed by results of the Russian team performance at Vancouver Games.

(Kazan, March 3, Tatar-inform, Mikhail Mironov). Centre of Russian National Teams Training may be opened on the basis of the World Summer Universiade-2013. Tatarstan Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Marat Bariev informed that such a project will be introduced for consideration of the federal authorities.

Marat Bariev informed issues of the Universiade heritage, or how sport facilities will be used after the competitions, would be discussed at the session of the Universiade-2013 organizing committee, which is to take place in the middle of March.

According to Marat Bariev’s words, a session of the Presidential Council for Physical Culture and Sports will be held on March 26. The agenda will focus on results of Russian athletes’ performance at Vancouver Olympics, but Tatarstan plans to present and defend the concept of creating the Centre of National Teams Training on the basis of the Universiade objects united with the Academy of Physical Culture and Sports (Naberezhniye Chelny).

Marat Bariev informed if such a centre created, it would be the only one of such kind in Russia.
