The current situation and outlooks of cooperation between Hungaru and Tatarstan were discussed at the meeting.

(Moscow, March 1, Tatar-inform, Rafis Izmaylov). The Republic of Tatarstan Plenipotentiary Representative in the Russian Federation Nazif Mirikhanov received Extraordinary Envoy and Plenipotentiary Minister of the Republic of Hungary Trade Representative in Russia Istvan Chozic in Moscow.

The current situation and outlooks of Hungary-Tatarstan cooperation in economy and culture were discussed at the meeting. The republic of Hungary is one of Tatarstan’s important foreign trade partners – it is in top ten among partner countries of Tatarstan according to foreign trade turnover data.

The Hungarian delegation showed interest in work of Tatarstan Assembly of Nations and of Tatarstan Academy of Science research in Ugro-Finnic ethnology.

The parties expressed hope to achieve further consolidation of business and cultural ties. Such fields as agriculture, education, ecology, construction, medicine, and energy-saving technologies were named among prospect fields for cooperation.
