10th anniversary of Kazan Centre for cultural relations between Tatarstan and India

The event is held with support of the Republic of Tatarstan Ministry of Culture and Tatarstan Nations Assembly.
(Kazan, February 26, Tatar-inform). Celebrations dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Centre for developing cultural relations between Tatarstan and India will be held in Kazan on February 27, Tatarstan Ministry of Culture press-service informs.The final stage of the Republican Festival of Folk Art “Shringara” will take place in the morning. Some 100 performers will perform in the final. Teachers of Dzhavakharlala Neru Cultural Centre under the Republic of India Embassy in Moscow will judge participants.
A selling exhibition of souvenirs, textile, spices and Ayurvedic medicine from India will open at the cultural centre of Tatarstan Internal Affairs Ministry. The guests will have a chance to participate in the quiz “What do you know about tea?”.
A concert with participation of Dzhavakharlala Neru Cultural Centre artists and the Classic Indian Dancing School “Kalangasita” students will begin at 6 p.m. A gala-concert of the Republican Folk Art Festival “Shringara” winners will close the day.
