26 February 2010, 12:36
(Kazan, February 25, Tatar-inform, Lutsia Kamalova). Tatarstan films “The Eagles” by director Ramil Tukhvatoullin and “Bibinur” by Yury Feting took part in the 4th International Days of the Turkic World Cinema in Istanbul on February 15-18.The following figures of cinema art represented the Republic of Tatarstan at the forum: Tatarstan and Russia People’s Artist Ravil Sharafeyev, producer of ‘Bibinur’ film Svetlana Bukharaeva, and chief specialist of the State Institution “Tatarkino” Raisa Sabirova.
The days of the Turkic World Cinema were held on the basis of “Eurasia” institute. 30 film-makers from 10 Turkic-speaking countries (Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Bashkortostan, etc.) presented 40 films at the festival.
“We can say the trip to Turkey was successful. We exchanged experience with colleagues from other Turkic-speaking countries. The programme of events was so rich, that we didn’t have time to see all the films. Organizers took into consideration this remark and promised to prevent this next time,” Tatarkino’s chief specialist Raisa Sabirova told Tatar-inform in an interview.
Ramil Tukhvatoullin’s “The Eagles” was demonstrated on the first day of the festival. Yury Feting’s “Bibinur” elicited such an emotional response in the audience, that the forum participants called Tatarstan representatives and thanked them for the film by phone. All participants of the Turkic World Cinema Days received commemorative diplomas.
