The study revealed that a total of about 20.8 million cat and dog owners are found in the UK, which is 50 percent more than earlier thought.

(Kazan, February 7, Tatar-inform). Cat owners are more likely to have a higher education, a recent scientific study suggests.

Researchers at University of Bristol say the people with a higher education’s fondness for cats is hardly accounted for by their admiration with the animal’s particular characteristics. Rather, the researchers say, they tend to work more and try to select a pet complying with their lifestyle, that is not demanding a lot of attention, reports mignews.com.
