Kadir Topbas left a note in Kazan State University’s book of distinguished guests.

(Kazan, July 24, Tatar-inform). The Republic of Turkey delegation headed by Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas paid an acquaintance visit to Kazan State University on July 24.

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, the city executive committee representative Rustam Nigmatullin and Segrei Ivanov, Secretary Genera of the Eurasian office of “United cities and local governments” organization Rasikh Sagitov accompanied the guests.

Rector Myakzyum Salakhov, Pro-rector Riyaz Minzaripov and deputy head of the International relations Department Ilshat Nasibullin welcomed the delegation at Kazan State University.

The guests from Turkey toured the Museum of Kazan University History. They showed particular interest in the exposition dedicated to Vladimir Ulyanov-Lenin, and joint work of Kazan and Turkish astronomers.

At the university’s Assembly Hall Kadir Topbas left a not in the book of distinguished guests: “I am very happy to visit Kazan University. Significant historical events have been taking place here since 1804, congratulations.”
