Andrey Baturin: “Russian insurance market to see a boom in the coming years”
(Kazan, October 5, Tatar-inform, Sergey Semerkin). On the eve of the Insurance Agent’s Day, marked in Russia on 6 October, representatives from the largest national company Rosgosstrakh gave a press conference.
“Kazan is one of the most beautiful cities of Russia, your city is one of the priority ones within the Rosgosstrakh system, while its Tatarstan branch is one of the best regional divisions. It has effective organisation, strong traditions and considerate attitude to veterans,” the Rosgosstrakh Vice-President Andrey Baturin shared his impressions from a visit to Kazan.
He said the Russian insurance market would in the coming years see a boom, it mode of development is similar to that of the banking market from five years ago. There are conditions for it: the quality of life is improving, people beginning to think more about their future. Research data shows that one of the Russian people’s major fears now is the fear of losing the brad-winner. Along with that, property insurance – flats and houses – is still more frequent than health insurance.
“Tomorrow, the first issue of the programme entitled Insurance Time will be aired. It is the first programme on the Russian TV dedicated to insurance. Our company is interested in advertising insurance,” told the Rosgosstrakh chief of the company’s projects for the immediate future.
One of the company’s priority tasks in Tatarstan, the Rosgosstrakh Tatarstan chief Farid Khamadeyev noted, is to improve the quality of customer service. “It was not so bad but there are still things to work on. In the future, we will continue to promote the entire insurance system as there is always room for perfection,” Khamadeyev remarked.
RGS Tatarstan has representations in all the cities and districts of the republic. It incorporates 58 branches, 10 sales offices, a central office and 8 specialised centres controlling loss, in the cities of Kazan, Almetievsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Chistopol, Buinsk, Bugulma and Yelabuga.
